South Africa’s Kruger National Park is one of the largest wildlife reserves in the world. With 147 species of mammals, 508 species of birds, 114 reptile species, 49 species of fish and 34 amphibian and 18 species of South Africans spiders.

The park houses 12 000 elephants, 250 wild or painted dogs, 1600 lions and 412 cheetahs among many more.

Camping Facilities Near The Kruger Park

At 19 485 Km² 7 523 Square miles the Kruger National Park is 360 Kilometres (220 miles) from top to bottom with an average width of 65 Km (40 miles) and areas. There is no doubt that the park is massive, being the size of Israel or Wales, slightly smaller than Belgium and about a third the size of Ireland. There are currently 90 countries that are smaller than the Kruger National Park.

The Kruger Park has a plethora of accommodation options ranging from luxury, 5 star resorts to back packers accommodation to suit every pocket.

Alternative Camping Facilities Alongside The Kruger Park

Rather than overnight inside the park at exorbitant rates, Inn Africa Safaris offers visitors an attractive alternative whereby visitors are accommodated just outside the Kruger National Park’s borders. Our campsite is ideal for caravanners, campers and backpackers who have their own tents.

Well appointed ablution facilities are available for the exclusive use of our patrons. All campsites feature a dedicated barbeque area and firewood is available for purchase.

Inn Africa Safaris also offers full day and half day safaris into the Kruger Park, entering via the Orphen gate. This area is well known for its large herds of elephants and its prides of white lions.
